Riley Hooper

Riley Hooper is a documentary film director and editor. Her body of work explores human resilience and spirit through short documentary portrait films. She is currently exploring themes of sexual health, pleasure, and agency in her first feature VESTIBULE, a first-person essay dance documentary. Her award-winning short documentaries have screened at festivals across the U.S. and internationaly—including Hot Docs International Film Festival, DOC NYC, Camden International Film Festival, Hamptons International Film Festival, Rooftop Films, New Orleans Film Festival, and Telluride Mountainfilm Festival. Her films have been featured by Vimeo Staff Picks and Short of the Week, and have appeared on The New York Times—as part of their Op-Docs and Made with Kickstarter series—as well as The New Yorker, The Atlantic, and National Geographic. Her documentary short FLO was awarded the Grand Jury Prize in the shorts program at the 2012 DOC NYC film festival.
