Darek Dylo is a New York City–based writer and director, originally from New Orleans. His work has been featured in Le Mile Magazine with Dinner Eclipse, Schön Magazine with Gâteau Bleu & his fashion narrative Max & Tish has praised by ShowStudio’s Nick Knight as “seductive, unpretentious, and emotionally resonant,” and he served on the committee for the 2023 Tribeca Film Festival.

Through his company, Black Boots NYC, Darek fuses emotionally charged, character-driven narratives with striking visuals that draw from fashion, surrealism, and art house cinema. Influenced by the French New Wave and the daring aesthetic of high-fashion editorials, he creates bold, dreamlike films that blur the line between style and story.
